Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-30
DYDD ("we," "us," "our") operates the DYDD mobile application (the "App"). This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Your data stays on your device.
All personal content you create in DYDD — skip logs, goals, savings history, challenge completions, and bar entries — is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data. We cannot retrieve it. If you delete the app, this data is gone. That's by design.
There are no user accounts, no logins, no email addresses, and no cloud sync in the current version of the App.
What we collect if you opt in.
When you first open the App, we ask whether you'd like to share usage data to help us improve DYDD. This is entirely optional. The App works fully without it.
If you opt in, the App sends the following to our analytics backend:
- A pseudonymous install identifier — a random ID generated when you install the App. It is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, device identifier, or any account (there are no accounts).
- Usage patterns — when skips occur (day of week, approximate time), which challenge energy levels and domains are selected, challenge accept/decline events, and goal-progress trends.
- App events — app opens, feature usage, and error reports.
We use this data in aggregate to understand whether the App is working and to improve it. We do not examine individual user records in the normal course of operation.
What we do not collect.
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
- Your Apple ID or any third-party account credentials
- Your location (GPS, IP-based, or otherwise)
- Financial account information (dollar amounts are computed and stored locally)
- Data from Apple HealthKit or any health service
- Photos, contacts, calendar data, or any content from other apps on your device
- Any data from users who do not opt in to usage data sharing
Third parties.
Usage data from opted-in users is processed by Cloudflare (Workers and D1 database), which acts as our data processor. Cloudflare's privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We do not use third-party ad trackers, analytics SDKs, device fingerprinting, or any tracking technology beyond the mechanisms described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.
Your choices.
- Opt in or out at any time: use the "Help improve DYDD" toggle in the App's Settings. When turned off, no data leaves your device.
- Request deletion: if you previously opted in and want us to delete usage data associated with your install identifier, email privacy@dydd.io. Include the install ID shown in the App's Settings screen. We will delete the associated records within 30 days.
- Delete everything locally: uninstalling the App removes all local data immediately.
Children.
DYDD is not designed for or directed at anyone under the age of 21. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. The App relates to alcoholic beverages and is intended for adults of legal drinking age in the United States.
Data security.
Usage data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Data at rest is stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure, which maintains SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. We limit access to usage data to the App's developer.
Changes to this policy.
If we make material changes, we will update this page and note the date. If the App is installed, we may notify you through an in-app prompt.
